It was always a dream of mine to operate my own coffee shop. After working in previous hospitality roles, one thing that I loved the most was people. Hearing about their lives and being a part of their day.
In 2018 I was offered an opportunity to open my own space and that’s where the journey began.
My vision was to bring specialty graded coffee, paired with excellent service.
We’ve grown from a small niche coffee vendor to a community hub, that offers more than just coffee. Giving you a sense of community and connection to what’s on and what’s happening on the island.
Whether you need your coffee to grab and go, you’re looking for a place to meet a friend, or just after some local insight. Bo Beans Coffee is here to make your Straddie adventure or lifestyle just a little more enjoyable.
OUR APPROACH
We believe in no bad coffee! We pride ourselves in consistency. Measuring, weighing, and timing each extracted shot. Regardless of our confidence, we’re never ashamed to use a thermometer and always proud to throw away a bad shot.
We are human though, so forgetting to add a sugar can happen and we hope you don’t hold that humanity against us. So please never hesitate to tell us if we forgot something.
We believe in reducing our environmental footprint, especially to protect the beauty that surrounds us here on Minjerribah. From recyclable coffee bags to upcycled furniture; we value the importance of reducing our waste.

Amity is the second township on North Stradbroke Island full of wildlife and recreational spaces netted swimming areas and an abundance of good fishing spots. A popular tourist location that offers beautiful waterfront holiday homes and family friendly camping destinations. Known for some of the best sunsets on the island Amity is a wonderful place to stay or day trip.
